My mum was the most amazing person, with the strength and courage of a lion, and who meant everything to me. She was 47 years old when she died. She's my hero. I have missed her every day of the 11 years since she has passed - and I will continue to miss her every day until my last. I am grateful for the time we had together and for all that she taught me.
Her death came as a huge shock. If anyone else reads this - I can only say that the loss of a loved one sends you on the most bizarre roller coaster of emotion. You will have your 'up' days and your 'down' days - this can last for a long time - there is no stop-watch. Everyone deals with their grief in a way that is comfortable to them. There is no 'right' or 'wrong' way to grieve. Each of us has our own way of dealing with it.
